
This years congress at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences took place at 2.3.2015 with the Title “Zukunftssicher Planen und Bauen im Ballungsraum” / “Future-oriented Planning and Building in Urban Agglomerations”.
A broad spectrum of science and everyday planning
The congress showed a project and sustainable work of architecture, housing, infrastructure and data management. These issues show up as important nodes in future-proof design and construction in urban areas. Constantly changing conditions include climate change, urbanization and demographic change building up substantial factors. Numerous projects were presented and discussed in the general context of the congress.
The aim of the conference was to formulate a position paper in accordance with a last year’s 10-point plan identifying key pillars of sustainability in the greater urban area with their feasibility.
Heide Schuster contributed a talk about the Efficient House Plus in Berlin and presented apart from the overview of the building also results of the monitoring programme.
